St Herman’s Cave and the Inland Blue Hole is located on the scenic Hummingbird High Way route. This site became a national park in 1978 and is known as Blue Hole National Park. The park has 575 acres of lush jungle, 200 species of birds and is home to a variety of wildlife including Jaguars, Ocelot, and Tapir. St Herman’s Cave is about a 200 yards hike form the visitor centre. It has 189-foot wide entrance and was once home to the ancient Mayans. It’s an amazing cave, go back in time and experience how it felt 2000 years ago when the Mayans lived there.
The Inland Blue Hole is only a half-mile from St Herman’s Cave. The Blue Hole is a natural wonder created by Mother Nature. It was once a part of a cave system that collapsed creating a huge cavern in the middle of the jungle. The water is aqua blue and crystal clear, the outer edge is shallow and you can walk in it or take a swim. The water comes from an underground river so it’s clean and refreshing.
The Chocolate Tour is a fascinating tour for chocolate lovers. See how chocolate is processed from start to finish the old fashion way. Interact with the whole process and taste the results. Experience how the Mayans once made chocolate and taste the chocolate drink they made that was only given to the noble or Royals.
